Healthy Hound Playground

Healthy Hound Playground was founded in 2013 by Brandon Power, driven by a passion for canine care and a vision to create a facility where dogs could thrive in a safe, engaging environment. With over a decade of experience in management consulting, Brandon identified a gap in the Northern Virginia and Maryland markets for a premium dog daycare, boarding, and grooming service combining modern amenities with attentive care. Our Sterling, VA facility opened in 2013, expanding three times to become one of the regions largest dog care centers, followed by a Rockville, MD location in 2021. Our team includes certified animal behaviorists, experienced groomers, and 24/7 onsite attendants dedicated to maintaining rigorous safety standards.

We pioneered features like regular outdoor potty breaks, 12-hour cage-free daycare, and spacious kennels, setting industry benchmarks. Recognized by Washingtonian and Northern Virginia Magazine as top providers, we emphasize transparency, client education, and community engagement. Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our 5-star ratings across platforms and accolades for service innovation. We prioritize continuous improvement, investing in staff training, facility upgrades, and partnerships with local rescues to support animal welfare. Every servicefrom daycare to groomingis designed to enhance canine well-being while providing pet owners peace of mind.
