At Bay State Martial Arts, we pride ourselves on being one of the top martial arts schools in the area. Established in 2006 by Shihan Brian Sweetser and his wife Laura, our mission is to provide a positive and educational environment for students of all ages and abilities to achieve their personal goals through the martial arts.
Our fully equipped facility, combined with our professional instructors and family-oriented atmosphere, enables us to provide a unique and effective learning experience for our students. Our motto, "Excellence in Attitude and Discipline, " is reflected in everything we do, from our rigorous training programs to our supportive community.
Throughout the years, we have been honored to receive numerous accolades, including being voted BEST MARTIAL ARTS SCHOOL for 13 years running and Shihan Sweetser's achievements as a World Champion in Adult Black Belt Forms, Teacher of the Year by the International Black Belt Hall of Fame, and Grand Champion at the Ocean State Grand National Karate Tournament.

Kenpo Karate Self-Defense: Our Kenpo Karate program is specifically designed to help students develop greater social skills, mental and emotional growth, and overall physical fitness. This program is perfect for students looking to improve their self-confidence and overall well-being.
Jujitsu: As part of our self-defense training, we incorporate the effective controlling and disabling techniques of Jujitsu, making it safe and effective for all ages and levels.

- Juniors (Tiny Tigers: 3-7 years, Kenpo Kids: 8-13 years)
