Outdoor Shade Concepts, formerly known as Made In The Shade Awnings, is a family-owned and operated business serving the greater Los Angeles area for over three decades. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality shade solutions and exceptional customer service. Our president, Trey Buckley, brings a unique blend of construction management expertise and a passion for creating beautiful and functional outdoor spaces.

Trey's journey began in the heart of Lakewood, California, where he developed a keen interest in construction and engineering. His academic pursuits took him to the University of New Mexico, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, coupled with specialized coursework in structural engineering. This solid foundation in construction principles has been instrumental in shaping our company's commitment to structural integrity and lasting durability.

Trey's hands-on experience in the industry began in 2010, working for LD Miller Construction in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This role honed his skills in supervising construction projects and managing complex tasks, qualities that have proven invaluable in leading Outdoor Shade Concepts. Drawing on his experience and driven by a desire to serve his home community, Trey returned to Southern California to establish a business dedicated to enhancing the outdoor living experiences of homeowners and businesses alike.
