Central Plains Health Care Partnership, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization affiliated with the Medical Society of Sedgwick County. We are a community partnership that leverages private and public support to improve the health of our community. Established in 2004, CPHCP has been dedicated to increasing access to care and coverage, reducing health care costs, and promoting the well-being of residents in Sedgwick County, Kansas.
We are actively engaged in numerous local initiatives and organizations, such as Visioneering Wichita's Health Alliance, Project Imprint (our local Fetal and Infant Mortality Review board), the Coalition of Community Health Clinics, the DCF Community Project, and the Nonprofit Chamber of Service. Additionally, we keep a close eye on health reform activities taking place at the local, state, and national levels. Our aim is to continually enhance access to care and coverage for our community while lowering health care expenses.
The Mission and Vision of CPHCP
Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of the residents of Wichita/Sedgwick County, Kansas, especially vulnerable patient populations. We envision a community where all individuals have access to quality health care services, regardless of their insurance status or financial situation.
Project Access: Connecting Patients with Providers
Project Access is one of our most notable initiatives. This medical society initiative connects people in need of health care with those who provide it. Through Project Access, we coordinate a system of donated health care for uninsured adults in Sedgwick County. We collaborate with eight hospital systems, 640 physicians, 14 dentists, 85 pharmacies, and six community clinics, creating a robust network of healthcare providers.
Since its inception in 2006, Project Access has provided essential healthcare services to 15,045 patients, enabling them to access:
- $5,357,896 of prescription medications
- $6,192,022 of donated medications
- $454,834 of durable medical equipment
By leveraging community resources and donations, we have effectively provided much-needed healthcare services while keeping costs minimal.
Get Insured: Assistance with ACA Enrollment
Another important aspect of our mission is to assist individuals in getting insured. Our Get Insured initiative offers help with enrolling in the ACA Marketplace, ensuring that even more residents of Sedgwick County have access to quality healthcare services. We understand that navigating the insurance process can be challenging, and we're here to help make it as easy as possible.
