Eye and vision care is an important component of your overall health. At the office of Paula F. Hernandez Hoover, O.D., we assist patients in achieving optimal ocular wellness through regular comprehensive exams with state-of-the-art equipment. Keeping an Eye on Your Vision

You may not have any vision problems, but you could still have issues with your eye health. That's why annual eye exams are recommended for children and adults. During your appointment, a vision evaluation may also be conducted. Early detection of eye disease may prevent loss of sight.

Contact Lens Wearers

Dr. Paula F. Hernandez Hoover

Dr. Hoover received her undergraduate degree in Biology and her Doctor of Optometry from Indiana University. After receiving her degrees, she completed an additional residency in Advanced Contact Lens Management. Dr. Hoover has been practicing in her current location since 1999. She is affiliated with the American Optometric Association and Kentucky Optometric Association. She was voted Walmart Optometrist of the Year in 2013. Dr. Hoover has held the position of Kentucky State Clinical Director for the Special Olympics Opening Eyes program since 2015 and has been the optometrist representative for the Franklin County Board of Health since 2005 and Treasurer since 2016. Dr. Hoover has lived in Frankfort, Kentucky, since 2004. She is married to Mark Hoover and has two lovely stepdaughters, Merideth and Riley; three dogs, Jolene, Dizzy, and Daisy; and a cat, Patsy. When she's not in the office, she enjoys watching sports with her husband and friends-especially the Cincinnati Reds and New England Patriots.
