Our Services

At Knot Therapy Massage, LLC, we offer a range of massage services designed to meet your unique needs. Here is a closer look at the different types of massage we offer:

  • Swedish Massage: This is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork that combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. Swedish Massage provides a range of benefits, including relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.
  • Deep Tissue Massage: Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. It is highly effective for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Deep Tissue Massage can be slightly uncomfortable at times, but the soreness is temporary and the benefits are long-lasting. Plenty of water should be ingested after the session to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that have been released from the deep tissue.
  • Tui-Na (Chinese Medical Massage): Tui Na is a form of bodywork that combines aspects of Shiatsu and acupressure. It directly affects the flow of energy by holding and pressing the body at acupressure points. Tui Na is especially effective for joint pain (such as arthritis), sciatica, muscle spasms, and pain in the back, neck, and shoulders. It also helps with chronic conditions such as insomnia, constipation, headaches (including migraines), and the tension associated with stress.
  • Acupressure: Acupressure is a technique that is based on the ancient principle that simply touching a specific point on the body will release stress and improve health. In an acupressure session, firm pressure is applied directly to these "points" on your body, which releases muscle tension and improves circulation. This simple and powerful technique has been shown to be very effective in treating a range of issues, including headaches, backaches, and even insomnia.
  • Sports Massage: Sports Massage is a type of massage that is designed to help athletes of all levels prepare for, and recover from, strenuous physical activity. It can help reduce the risk of injury, improve flexibility, and enhance performance. Sports Massage can also be beneficial for those who are not athletes, but who engage in regular physical activity or have suffered an injury.
