Basketball For All

Basketball For All Inc. is a Houston-based nonprofit organization with a vital mission: to promote inclusion and awareness through sports, specifically through basketball. Our programs provide opportunities for athletes with disabilities to participate in organized basketball games during halftime of college and high school games.

How it all began

The story of Basketball For All Inc. began in 2013 when John Lund, a volunteer for the Strake Jesuit Preparatory School basketball team, organized a friendly game between the school's team and a group of athletes with special needs. This moment of inclusion sparked the creation of the Buddy Basketball program.

Over the years, the program grew under the guidance of volunteer Scottie Stevens. Recognizing the need to expand reach and resources, Basketball for All Inc. was officially established as a 501c3 nonprofit organization in 2017.
