Our Story

Behlmann's Carnection has a rich history rooted in family and a commitment to quality. Our journey began with Paul Behlmann, the youngest of twelve children growing up on a farm in Florissant, Missouri. Driven by ambition and a strong work ethic, Paul ventured into the world of used tire sales with two relatives in north St. Louis County. What started as a modest operation quickly blossomed into one of the Midwest's largest tire and lawnmower retailers. Recognizing an opportunity, General Motors approached Paul and his partners in the 1970s, inviting them to acquire a local GM dealership. This marked the beginning of the Behlmanns' foray into the automotive industry, laying the foundation for their future success. Years later, in the year 2000, the Behlmann family expanded its automotive empire by opening a pre-owned dealership in St. Peters, Missouri. This ambitious endeavor quickly established Behlmann's as a leading pre-owned car center in the St. Louis metropolitan area.

Rooted in the family's commitment to excellence, a decision was made in 2009 to establish a new full-service facility in St. Peters. This dedicated space, known today as Behlmann's Carnection, reflects their commitment to providing a comprehensive automotive experience for their valued customers.
