Historic Oakdale Ranch is a picturesque wedding venue located in Northern California, just outside of Esparto. As a family-owned and operated ranch since 1852, we take pride in providing a unique and unforgettable experience for couples and their loved ones. Our 400-acre ranch is nestled at the gateway to the beautiful Capay Hills, offering a breathtaking canvas to create your dream wedding.
Our Services
At Historic Oakdale Ranch, we understand that every couple is unique, and we strive to provide a personalized experience that exceeds your expectations. Our packages include a rental period from Friday 1 pm to Sunday 12 pm, accommodating up to 250 guests. We provide tables and chairs for up to 150 guests, multiple event space locations, and a range of amenities to make your special day truly unforgettable. Our staff will set up tables and chairs for 150 guests at one location, and our event staff will be onsite the entire day of your wedding to ensure everything runs smoothly. You'll also have access to endless picturesque photography locations, and we'll even provide onsite trash disposal.

Our goal is to provide a beautiful, secluded location and immersive environment that feels like a mini-vacation for you and your guests. We strive to accommodate all reasonable requests and understand the importance of a DIY attitude. Our venue is located on a functioning farm, and we want your event to feel like you've invited your guests to a little slice of heaven.
Our History
The Stephens Brothers, John and George, arrived in Sacramento, California in 1849 and worked as prospectors in the area. They later purchased the Canada de Capay land grant, which included the 400 acres that Historic Oakdale Ranch now sits on. Over the years, the ranch has been built and expanded, with the brothers traveling east to bring back excellent stock and build a substantial grain and stock business. Today, we're proud to offer this stunning venue to couples looking to make their wedding day truly unforgettable.
