Our Mission and Purpose

At From Above Gathering Place & Bakery, our mission is to gather God's family around His table to faithfully serve, celebrate, connect, and grow. Our purpose is to provide a welcoming and inclusive space for people of all ages and abilities to come together, share in fellowship, and deepen their faith. We recognize that every individual has a unique role to play in God's plan, and our goal is to empower and support them in their spiritual journeys.

History and Origins

The story of From Above begins with Carrie Zehms, our founder, who was inspired by the Holy Spirit to create a safe and fun space for Catholic teens to discuss and deepen their faith. As our ministry grew, we expanded our focus to include people with special needs, families, and the broader community. Today, our Gathering Place is a vibrant and inclusive space where people of all ages and abilities can come together, learn, and grow together.

Services and Programs

Our bakery is a key part of our ministry, offering a wide range of delicious baked goods made from the finest ingredients. We also offer classes and workshops on cookie decorating, cake pop-making, and other culinary skills. Additionally, we provide catering services for special events and offer gluten-free and diabetic-friendly baked goods.

Fundraising Opportunities

We believe that giving back to the community is essential to our mission. That's why we offer a unique fundraising opportunity for non-profit organizations, charities, and schools. For every purchase made, we donate 20% of the sales (before taxes) to the organization of the customer's choice. We also offer a 50/50 fundraiser option for those who want to make an even bigger impact.
