Our Story

Beyond Soccer is a vibrant sports-based youth development organization deeply rooted in the Lawrence community. Our mission is to empower young people through the transformative power of soccer, creating a positive impact on their lives both on and off the field. We firmly believe that sports can be a powerful catalyst for personal growth, leadership development, and academic achievement. Founded on the principles of inclusivity and opportunity, Beyond Soccer strives to provide a supportive and engaging environment where every child can thrive.

Our Programs

We offer a diverse array of programs designed to meet the unique needs of Lawrence youth. Our core programs center around soccer, providing year-round opportunities to participate in both competitive and recreational leagues. We are passionate about making soccer accessible to all, regardless of skill level or background, through our inclusive TOPSoccer program which caters to children with disabilities. Beyond the soccer field, we offer enriching summer camps that foster teamwork, resilience, and a love for physical activity. Our commitment to holistic development extends to academic support, with tutoring sessions, homework help, and college and career readiness workshops designed to empower youth to excel in their studies.

Beyond the Ball: Leadership Development & Healthy Living

At Beyond Soccer, we recognize the importance of holistic development. That's why we offer a variety of initiatives outside of traditional sports programming. Our Jr./Coach Mentor program provides older youth with leadership opportunities, mentoring younger players and gaining valuable skills in coaching and team management. We also offer summer enrichment programs focusing on fitness, nutrition education, cooking courses, and family engagement. These initiatives aim to promote healthy lifestyles, family connections, and the development of essential life skills.
