Voix Vocal Studio

Voix Vocal Studio is the private studio of soprano, Alyssa Cox, located in Annapolis, MD, dedicated to the study of music, theater, freedom of expression, and unlocking your potential. Our mission is to empower individuals to find their true voice, and to provide a safe and nurturing environment for artistic growth and development.

Our Services

At Voix Vocal Studio, we offer a wide range of services designed to help you unlock your full potential as a singer, actor, dancer, or public speaker. Our voice lessons are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual, and are designed to help you develop a healthy, unfettered production of sound. We begin with bodywork, including muscle isolation exercises and breathing exercises, to build a solid foundation for producing sound. We then work through vocal exercises and warm-ups at the piano, catering to the specific needs of your instrument. Our lessons are recorded, allowing you to track your progress over time and observe how your voice is responding to the exercises.

In addition to voice lessons, we also offer acting coachings, designed to help you hone your dramatic skills, perfect your audition, and add depth to your performing. Our coachings cover a range of topics, including methods, diction, and stage projection, as well as exercises in theatrical bodywork, cold reads, scene work, monologues, improvisation, stagecraft, character development, and audition etiquette.

Our Commitment to Safety

At Voix Vocal Studio, the safety and health of our students is our top priority. In response to the Covid pandemic, we have implemented a range of safety protocols, including virtual lessons, mask-wearing, and social distancing. Our studio is equipped with a 7 ft tall plexiglass booth, UV air purifiers, and plexiglass shields, and we sanitize all touched surfaces, including the bathroom, between students. We also require infrared temperature checks upon entry, and ask that students temp check at home prior to coming to the studio.
