Topographic Surveys

A topographic survey shows the horizontal and vertical contours and locations of existing natural or man-made features, whether subsurface or other, and the graphic representation of the results from field data. Topographic surveys for properties are required in the development or redevelopment stages of a project. ALTA Surveys

An ALTA/NSPS land title survey meets the specified needs explicit to title insurance purposes and was developed by the American Land Title Association and the National Society of Professional Surveyors. These standards exceed the boundary survey standards as aforementioned. An ALTA survey must also include easements, rights-of-ways, and other survey-related documentation in the title commitment that affect the title ownership of land.
