At Winery on the Gruene, we extend a warm welcome to all wine lovers and enthusiasts. As an award-winning custom boutique winery, we take pride in crafting wines from juices sourced from various parts of the world. Our winery is located in the historic Gruene area, providing a unique backdrop for you to enjoy a glass or bottle of your favorite wine.

Our Winemaking Process

We blend, ferment, age, and bottle over 30 different wines all on premise, ensuring that every bottle is crafted with care and attention to detail. Our wines are known for their smoothness, easy drinkability, and low sulphite content, making them a great choice for any occasion.

Fruit-Infused Wines

Our winery specializes in fruit-infused wines that are refreshing and perfect for hot summer days. We offer a wide variety of wines, including not-too-dry traditional white and red wines, fruit-infused wines, and dessert wines, ensuring that there's something for every palate.

Wine Tastings

Indulge in a wine tasting and sample four of our wines for just $5.00 per person. You can keep your souvenir glass for an additional $3.00. Our wine tastings are available daily, and no reservations are required. We have plenty of outdoor seating and limited seating upstairs, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a glass of wine with friends and family.

Batch Making

Create your own batch of wine for yourself or that special someone. You'll start the wine-making process, and we'll take over from there. We'll also work with you to create your own custom label. Our batch making is by appointment only, and it takes 4-6 weeks for the wine to ferment. It's a great gift idea for weddings, corporate gifts, anniversaries, graduations, military badges, birthdays, baby arrivals, or any other special occasion.

Hours

We are open seven days a week, from Monday to Thursday, 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Friday to Saturday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Sunday, Noon to 6:00 PM. Holiday hours may vary, and we are closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Our Winery

Our winery is family and pet-friendly, providing a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere for everyone. We are the only winery in Historic Gruene, located right next to the Guadalupe River. We also have a sister winery, Winery on the Bay in Rockport Texas, which offers a unique and stunning location to enjoy a glass of wine.
