Your Beautiful Smile Starts Here
At Individual Physical Therapy Solutions, we are a patient-centered physical therapy practice dedicated to providing personalized conservative orthopaedic and neurological care. Our focus is on creating a supportive environment for healing, combining it with the right treatment approach to resolve pain and allow patients to return to their normal activities. Our comprehensive approach guided by the McKenzie Method, also known as Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT), enables us to effectively treat a wide range of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
Our Story
Our story began in 2004 when our owner, Jim Tarsi Jr., graduated from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Physical Therapy. After completing his final rotation at Ireland's National Rehabilitation Hospital, Jim returned to Ridgefield, Connecticut, where he has been practicing for over 10 years. Throughout his career, Jim has trained in various treatment philosophies and has found the McKenzie Method to be the most effective in delivering long-lasting results.
Guiding Principles
Each patient is unique, and we believe that listening to the patient's needs reveals the truth about their injury or musculoskeletal problem. To achieve successful outcomes, we fully understand how a patient's symptoms respond to movements and postures. Our treatment is based on sound scientific principles and current best evidence. Patient education and empowerment to self-treat and prevent future problems are key to lasting relief.

The McKenzie Method
We employ the McKenzie Method, also known as Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT), which is a system of evaluation, treatment, and prevention of spinal and extremity pain. By utilizing this method, many patients have successfully resorted to their symptoms in fewer than six visits, even if traditional physical therapy methods had been unsuccessful.
What Our Patients Are Saying
Our patients come from all walks of life and have benefited from our expertise in treating various conditions. Here's what some of them have to say:
".I'm now progressing nicely in CrossFit, plus doing 2-3 home/apt. workouts per week using Jim's recommended exercises and stretches. I'm getting more exercise than before and feeling strong again."
- Mark Halperin, Bedford Hills, NY
".I was having severe back pain with a new lower leg pain and tingling. Jim worked patiently with me and even recommended an excellent doctor for my second spinal cortisone shot after I had some difficulty with the first. Jim educated me as to what was happening with my back, what would happen as we progressed with exercise treatment, and encouraged me to have near-complete recovery as a goal. I'm now progressing nicely in CrossFit, plus doing 2-3 home/apt. workouts per week using Jim's recommended exercises and stretches. I'm getting more exercise than before and feeling strong again."
- Mark Halperin, Bedford Hills, NY
"It's nice to have the freedom to do whatever you want!"
- Mike Noviello, Brewster, NY
