Empowering Brain Injury Survivors, One Birdie at a Time

Our Story, Mission, & Vision

Birdies4Brains, a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization, was established in 2011 with the aim of supporting brain injury survivors who are experiencing financial hardship. The organization was born out of an obsession among friends to combine their passion for golf with fundraising, to create a meaningful impact in the community.

The inspiration to start Birdies4Brains came from the personal experience of the President & Founder, Brian Eder, whose sister Christine suffered a brain aneurysm. Christine's experience exposed Brian to the harsh realities that most brain injury survivors face, especially after the physical wounds have healed but the effects and trauma continue. He recognized the need for an organization to help others in similar situations, as there are often gaps in what's needed and provided via insurance. Although Christine's recovery has been a miracle, Brian understands that most are not as lucky, and the work must continue.

At Birdies4Brains, our mission is to raise money to help brain injury survivors who are facing financial hardship and award grants that are tailored to their needs. We aspire to create an expanded suite of fundraising events that distinguish us from other brain injury charities, allowing us to increase and expand our financial support offerings to brain injury survivors on a local and national scale.

Our Events

Birdies4Brains hosts various fundraising events to support our mission, one of which is the "1 Day, 100 Holes" event. This event involves golfers playing 100 holes of golf in a single day, taking full advantage of the longest day of the year. The event is not only fun, but it also raises awareness and funds for brain injury survivors.

Apart from the "1 Day, 100 Holes" event, we host other events such as UnGala100, where guests come together for a night of entertainment, auctions, and games, all aimed at supporting our cause. Our events are open to everyone, and we encourage everyone to participate, have fun, and support a worthy cause.

Our Team

At Birdies4Brains, we have a dedicated team of volunteers and board members who are passionate about supporting brain injury survivors. Our team includes individuals with diverse backgrounds and expertise, all coming together for a common cause. We are committed to making a difference in the lives of brain injury survivors, and we are grateful for the continued support from our donors, sponsors, and volunteers.
