Trenton School Of Dance

Welcome to Trenton School of Dance, a dance studio that has been serving the Downriver community since 1976. Founded by former Detroit City Ballet dancer Judy Shamanski-Menna, the studio has since been passed down to her niece Meredith Shamanski and eventually to the current owner, Sarah Renko. Sarah is a proud holder of a Bachelor's degree in dance and is a certified instructor of Dance Masters of Michigan and Acrobatic Arts.

At Trenton School of Dance, we are committed to providing quality dance training, team bonding, and discipline through the art of dance. Our experienced and caring instructors prioritize the safety, education, and well-being of your children. We offer classes for children of all ages and abilities, believing that every child can gain something from dance.

Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is designed to provide a well-rounded dance education that focuses on proper technique and artistry. We offer classes in various dance styles, including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, and acrobatics. Our classes are structured to cater to different age groups and abilities, ensuring that every student is challenged and engaged.

In addition to our regular classes, we also offer special workshops and camps throughout the year. These programs provide unique opportunities for students to explore different dance styles, meet new friends, and develop their skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Dance Camps

Join us for our dance camps, which are packed with adventure, dancing, crafts, and more! Our camps are geared towards different age groups and interests, ensuring that every child has a blast. Our camps include:

• PAWTY WITH MY PETS Dance Camp (Ages 3-5): This camp is an adventure packed program that your tiny dancer does not want to miss! Your child will enjoy dancing, crafts, and more while learning about different pets.
• ERAS Dance Camp (Ages 6-10): Calling all Swifties! Join us for our Taylor Swift themed dance camp. This camp is full of Taylor Swift's Eras, Dancing, Crafts and more! Your child will have a great time learning about Taylor Swift and her music while developing their dance skills.
• MAGICAL MERMAID DANCE CAMP (Ages 3-5): Does your child express interest in Ballet? This would be a perfect camp for them! Your child will enjoy learning ballet in a fun and magical underwater world.

Competition Team

Trenton School of Dance is proud to offer a competition team for students who are interested in taking their dance training to the next level. Our competition team competes in various competitions throughout the year, providing students with the opportunity to showcase their skills and learn from other dancers. Our competition team is by invitation only, and students must meet certain requirements to be eligible.

Our faculty is composed of experienced and caring instructors who are dedicated to providing quality dance education. Our instructors have extensive training and experience in various dance styles, ensuring that our students receive a well-rounded dance education.
