At Aviation Camps of the Carolinas, our mission is to introduce students to the wonderful world of aviation while encouraging them to believe in themselves and trust their abilities. We understand that many students are unaware of the cool, unique career opportunities that are available to them, and that some students experience a lack of confidence in their own abilities.
Our Story
Our founder, Brenda E. Robinson, is a renowned aviator who has broken numerous barriers throughout her career. She is the first African-American female pilot in US Navy history, and has proudly served in the Navy for many years. Brenda's journey began at a young age, as she was fascinated by aircraft travel even before her 10th birthday. She went on to study Aeronautics at Dowling College, where she distinguished herself as one of the top students in her class. Her hard work and dedication earned her a degree in Aeronautics, making her the first black woman in Dowling's history to do so.
Our Camps
Our camps are designed to give students a hands-on experience in the world of aviation. Led by Brenda Robinson and other experienced aviation professionals, our camps provide students with a unique opportunity to learn about the many career paths available in the aviation industry. From take-off to landing, our camps give students a behind-the-scenes look at the aviation industry, allowing them to explore the many career opportunities available to them.
Our Approach
At Aviation Camps of the Carolinas, we believe that every student deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. That's why we're committed to providing students with the skills and confidence they need to succeed. We do this by offering a range of activities and workshops, including:
- Guided tours of aviation facilities
- Hands-on experience with aircraft
- Workshops on aviation careers and pathways
- Opportunities to meet with industry professionals
- Interactive simulations and games

Our goal is to inspire and empower students to reach for their dreams, and to provide them with the skills and confidence they need to succeed. We believe that every student deserves the opportunity to achieve their goals, and that by doing so, we can create a brighter future for all.
