The Pennsylvania Envirothon is a rigorous and rewarding environmental education program designed to engage high school students in the complexities of natural resource management. Teams of five high school students dedicate their time and energy to mastering five distinct topic areas: Soils and Land Use, Aquatic Ecology, Forestry, Wildlife, and Environmental Issues. The heart of the Pennsylvania Envirothon lies in its engaging competitive format. Each year, Envirothon teams embark on a journey of knowledge acquisition, guided by mentors and experts in their respective fields. Teams are tested on their understanding of the five core subject areas through field tests held at a designated camp location.
