Raritan Yacht Club

Established in 1865, Raritan Yacht Club is one of the oldest yacht clubs in the country with a rich history both on and off the water. Our spacious clubhouse, which is a wonderful example of gracious living from a bygone era, is tastefully decorated with artwork and photos of our storied past. The clubhouse features three outdoor decks that offer grand views of Raritan Bay, and they are utilized for various purposes such as dining al fresco, club-wide events, private catered events, or just as a quiet spot to watch the full moon rise.

During the season, our spacious yard facility comes alive with activity as our recently revamped 7-Ton hoist is available to all members to launch, haul, or store boats from dinghies to auxiliaries up to 35 ft LOA.

Calendar and Weather

Our club calendar is always filled with various activities, including facilities management and racing calendar events. Members can access the club calendar to view upcoming events, including the Wed. Night Tune Up Race, Fri. One Design Racing, and Wed. Series 1. The calendar also indicates whether an event is club, personal, or closed, and it allows members to filter the calendar based on their preferences.

Raritan Yacht Club also features a weather station on the cupola, which provides live video of the RYC dock and weather forecast. Members can access the weather station to view the current weather conditions and tide information before heading out to the water.

Membership

Raritan Yacht Club is a club run by members for members. We offer various membership options, including Junior, Regular, Senior, and Non-Resident memberships. Members can download the membership packet or boat share options on our website. Our membership offers various benefits, such as access to our yard facility, clubhouse, and participation in racing, cruising, and social events.

Learn to Sail

Raritan Yacht Club offers various sailing courses for members of all skill levels. Our American Sailing Association (ASA) sailing courses include Basic Keelboat Sailing, Basic Coastal Cruising, and Bareboat Chartering. We also offer First Sail and Learn to Sail courses for those who are new to sailing. Our sailing courses are designed to provide members with the necessary skills and knowledge to enjoy sailing safely and confidently.

Racing

Raritan Yacht Club offers various racing options for members, including Flying Scot Fleet, RC Laser Fleet, Junior Racing, and Doublehand Series Race. Members can access racing results, NoRs, Marks, and more on our website. We also offer race crew sign-up options for those who want to participate in racing events.

Junior Sailing

Raritan Yacht Club offers various junior sailing programs, including Summer Sailing Classes and 420 Summer Racing Program. Our junior sailing programs are designed to provide young members with a fun and safe introduction to sailing.

Reciprocal Yacht Clubs

Raritan Yacht Club has reciprocal agreements with various yacht clubs around the bay. Members can access a list of reciprocal yacht clubs on our website.
