Our History

Our story began when Charles J. O'Shea, Jr., one of ten children, grew up above his father's funeral home in Queens, NY. After serving as a sergeant in the United States Army, Charles decided to follow in his father's footsteps and pursued a career in funeral directing. He graduated from the McAllister School of Embalming in New York City and eventually became a licensed funeral director.

In 1964, Charles founded the Charles J. O'Shea Funeral Home in Wantagh, NY, where he began his journey of providing compassionate and personalized funeral services to the local community. Over the years, the funeral home has expanded to include locations in East Meadow and East Islip, allowing us to serve even more families across Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
