N F Walker

The N.F. Walker, Inc. Funeral Home was founded in 1959 as a subsidiary of the Walker Family's funeral home located in Queens, which was founded circa 1900. The funeral home changed ownership from the Walker Family to the Baxter Family in 1987 as a result of the retirement of the Walker's from funeral service. Both the Walker family and the Baxter family have been fortunate to retain Mr. James F. Gavigan, a lifelong Merrick resident, as the manager of the funeral home. N.F. Walker, Inc. Funeral Home is decorated in a traditional manner. We have comfortable and ample areas for people to gather both in the visitation room and throughout the facility. Parking is accommodated by a sizable parking lot and street side parking on quiet residential streets. We have an ADA restroom facility on our main floor and ramp access for visitors at our Loines Avenue entrance. (North Side of Building)
