St. Thomas School

St. Thomas School is a private, independent day school in Medina, WA, serving Seattle and Bellevue students in Preschool through 8th grade. We offer an intentionally designed program that addresses the developmental needs of children - academically, socially, and emotionally. Character and Chapel

At STS, we believe that character education is essential to a well-rounded education. Technology

Service Learning

The Arts

Foreign Language

At STS, we believe that learning a foreign language is essential for success in an increasingly globalized world. Our foreign language program introduces students to the basics of language and culture, preparing them for advanced study in high school and beyond.

Physical Education

Physical education is an important part of the STS experience. Through our PE program, students learn the importance of physical activity, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. Our state-of-the-art athletic facilities provide students with the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports and activities.

Library & Media Center

Our library and media center is a hub of learning and exploration. Students have access to a wide range of books, digital resources, and research tools. Our librarians work closely with teachers to integrate information literacy into the curriculum, teaching students how to find, evaluate, and use information effectively.

Signature Projects

Our signature projects are a unique aspect of the STS experience. These interdisciplinary projects allow students to explore real-world problems and develop solutions through critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. Projects range from designing sustainable cities to creating educational videos on topics such as climate change.

Student Life

At STS, we believe that learning extends beyond the classroom. Dining at STS: It's More Than "Just" Lunch

We provide a dining experience that integrates with our curriculum and promotes healthy eating, sustainable living, and community building. Our dining program includes a variety of healthy options, as well as opportunities for students to learn about nutrition and sustainability.

Extended Day & Falcon's Ledge

Our extended day program provides students with a safe and supportive environment to complete homework, participate in extracurricular activities, and engage in supervised play. Our Falcon's Ledge after-school program offers a variety of activities, including sports, arts, and clubs.

Activities & Traditions

At STS, we believe that traditions are an important part of building a sense of community. From our annual fall festival to our spring musical, we have a variety of activities and traditions that bring our students, parents, and faculty together.
