Livengood Excavators

Over 55 years of experience, Livengood Excavators Inc. humbly began as Harvey Livengood Excavating Contractor around 1947. The company started as a one man owner-operator business that consisted of only Harvey and his Michigan cable shovel. He dug basements and hauled fill. Gradually, the company grew as Harvey acquired a D4CAT and other equipment. Harvey's son, Leo, became an operator after school and during summers, and eventually became president. Leo purchased the company, and it became incorporated as Livengood Excavators, Inc (LEI) in 1970. Leo's son, Tim, also had an early start working as a truck driver, paver and equipment operator, and estimator. Under Tim's leadership, LEI became the first to utilize AGTEK automated takeoff technology in the Lehigh Valley. He established repeat clients in commercial, industrial and residential site development.

We are a full line site work contractor specializing in earth moving, utility piping and asphalt paving operations. Our services range from personal residential paving to large scale commercial development. We take pride in our work and believe in investing in our community. We offer a variety of services including Erosion and Sedimentation Control, Survey Layout, Demolition, Earthmoving, Blasting, Rock Excavation, Crushing, Screening, Storm Water Management Facilities, Storm Sewer, Sanitary Sewer, Water Distribution, Site Concrete and Curbing, Asphalt Paving, and Seeding/Stabilization.

Projects

Some of our notable projects include Lehigh Valley West, a 400 acre industrial park, which entailed total site work, infrastructure and HOP improvements including two bridges. We also completed all site work for the Bridgestone Firestone distribution center. Additionally, we executed all phases of earth moving, utilities, paving and complete reconstruction of PA route 512 for Hanover Corporate Center, a business commercial and industrial park. Our residential projects include The Hills at Lock Ridge, Traditions of America Active Adult Communities in Hanover Township, and Bridle Path Wedgewood.

Equipment

We have a diverse fleet of equipment to handle any project, from small residential jobs to large commercial developments. Our equipment includes earthmoving machines, utility piping tools, asphalt paving equipment, and other specialized machinery necessary for site development and excavation operations.
