At Pear Valley Estate, we are a family-owned vineyard and winery located in Paso Robles, California. Our story began in the late 1960s when owner Tom Maas was stationed on an army base in Germany. It was there that he discovered a love for wine and the vineyard. Decades later, when his kids were grown and responsibilities waned, he was finally able to pursue his dream of owning and living in a vineyard. That dream became a reality in 1999 with the purchase of 20 acres in Paso Robles.
Our Vineyard
Our vineyard is situated in the heart of Paso Robles, where the climate and soil provide ideal conditions for growing premium grapes. We are committed to sustainable farming practices to ensure the best possible fruit for our wines. Our estate vineyard is home to 115 acres of vines, planted with a focus on quality over quantity. Low yields mean intense flavors and a richer, more complex taste profile. Our vineyard is a peaceful oasis, perfect for a day trip or a romantic getaway.
Our Winemaking
Our winemaking process begins in the vineyard, where we hand-harvest our grapes at the peak of ripeness. The fruit is then sorted and processed at our estate winery, ensuring that only the highest quality grapes make it into our wines. Our Wine Club
At Pear Valley Estate, we offer several wine club options to suit every palate and preference. Our wine club members receive two shipments per year, with the option to customize their selections. Our club members also enjoy discounts on all wine and merchandise, as well as exclusive invitations to special events and limited-time offers.
Our Tasting Room
Our tasting room is open daily from 11am to 5pm, with no reservations required for parties of six or fewer. Join us for a tasting and enjoy our beautiful outdoor patio, indoor seating, and picnic areas. We welcome children and pets on leash, and smoking is prohibited throughout our property.
