The Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home was founded by George A. Konantz, who came to the Fort Scott area in 1872. He worked for the Goodlander Lumber Company and later became a licensed embalmer. The funeral home has been family-owned and operated for four generations, with each generation adding to the legacy of service and care. Today, we continue to serve the community with the same dedication and commitment to excellence that has been our hallmark for over a century.
