CMI was founded by two brothers with previous construction experience and a mission to provide innovative geotechnical solutions. The beginnings of the company consisted of a small team of 4 and a single Bobcat excavator. Over the years, CMI has become known for its hardworking team of individuals and continues to provide the best service in the deep foundation industry.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of services including the installation of Helical Piles, STELCOR DDM piles, and Hollow bar piles for new foundations, SOE (support of excavation) walls, retaining walls, docks, and elevated walkways, and underpinning. CMI also provides load testing services and load testing beam rentals, and the sale and installation of our structural slab system Geo-Joist.

Marine Division

CMI provides excellent geotechnical services on the water thanks to our fleet of barges. With a couple of barges at our disposal, CMI can now complete projects on the Great Lakes and the Finger Lakes from the water. We offer a variety of piling services and deep foundation options for marine structures, as well as design and installation of both fixed and floating docks.

Deep foundations for marine structures, such as boathouses, docks, and boardwalks, can all be installed by CMI. Helical piles and other deep foundations outlast other piling types, such as timber piles, in the elements and can be installed efficiently with minimal disturbance to the environment.
