NYU Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative that has been serving the New York University community, including students, staff, alumni, and their family members, since 1982. Our mission is to provide high-quality financial products and services at competitive rates, with an unwavering commitment to exceptional customer service.

Our History

The NYU Federal Credit Union was created in 1982 by NYU employees under the leadership of James Ramsey, to exclusively serve the NYU faculty, staff, employees, students, alumni, and retirees and their family members. Since our inception, we have expanded our field of membership to accommodate not only faculty, staff, and administrators of the University but also students, alumni, retirees, and employees of the NYU hospital system. In 2006, our CEO, Mira Ness, led the NYU FCU into expanding services and resources, going from a credit union that was in rapid decline to one that offers a growing variety of financial products and services.

Our services include savings accounts, checking accounts, loans, credit cards, and investment options. We also offer online banking, mobile banking, and bill pay services, making it easy for our members to manage their finances on the go. Additionally, we provide financial education and resources to help our members make informed financial decisions.
