Nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Parkway in Ashe County, North Carolina, Raccoon Holler Campground offers a peaceful and unforgettable camping experience. Surrounded by the breathtaking views of the North Carolina Mountains, our campground is the perfect destination for both tent and RV campers, whether you're staying for a night or for the entire season.

Our Services

At Raccoon Holler Campground, we pride ourselves in providing a wide range of services to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We offer various types of campsites, from full hookup RV sites to secluded tent sites, ensuring that we have the perfect site for every camper. Our campground is equipped with modern bathhouses, laundry facilities, and a camp store to meet all your basic needs. We also offer propane and firewood sales, live fishing bait, and a Wi-Fi internet service, although we cannot guarantee its availability.

For the convenience of our guests, we have a paved road system that leads to all sites, and RV storage is available for those who need it. Our campground is also pet-friendly, but we have restrictions in place for the safety and comfort of all guests. Aggressive breeds and incessant barkers are not allowed, and all pets must be leashed and accompanied by an adult whenever outside.

Recreational Activities

Raccoon Holler Campground offers a variety of recreational activities for all ages. Our campground features a playground, shuffleboard, walking trails, a game room, horseshoes, volleyball, tetherball, basketball, bike riding, and disc golf. We also have a fishing pond stocked with a variety of fish, and we sell live fishing bait on-site. For those who enjoy community events, we offer Sunday church services, BINGO, movie nights, gospel singing, a 4th of July golf cart parade, and a harvest celebration.

Our Policies

We prioritize monthly and seasonal reservations over overnight and weekly reservations. While we do our best to reserve an equivalent site, we reserve the right to change the reserved site without notice. All rates are based on one camping unit or tent per site, and additional units or tents will require the reservation of additional sites.

For holidays, reservations must be paid in full at the time of reservation, and no refunds will be given. For non-holidays, deposits will be refunded (less a $10 cancellation fee) if notification is received more than 2 days in advance of the scheduled arrival date. If cancellation occurs with 2 days or less notice, the full deposit will be forfeited.

Raccoon Holler Campground is located on the Blue Ridge Parkway at 493 Raccoon Hollow Road, Jefferson, NC 28640. We are in close proximity to various attractions, including the Blue Ridge Parkway, New River with tubing and kayaking, The Church of the Frescoes, Mt. Jefferson State Park, Jefferson Landing Golf Course, Tweetsie Railroad, Mast General Store, Creeper Trail, Christmas in July Festival in Blowing Rock, NC, Valley Crucis, NC, Blowing Rock, NC, and Mt. Airy, NC.
