Actualize Your Child's Potential!

Welcome to The Gaussian School, where we believe that every individual is born with a deep reservoir of untapped potential. Our mission is to help students actualize that potential through our unique educational approach, known as The Gaussian Method.

The Gaussian Method

The Gaussian Method is a proprietary educational pedagogy that capitalizes on the three-stage human cognition architecture: sensory memory, working memory, and long-term memory. This approach is designed to maximize students' potential and foster a lifelong passion for learning.

Our Programs

At The Gaussian School, we offer a range of programs designed to cater to students' diverse interests and needs. Our programs include:

English Curriculum

Our English curriculum is designed to develop critical reading and writing skills essential in today's information-saturated world. Our weekly 90-minute small-group classes emphasize higher-order thinking, analysis, and skilled craftsmanship. We cover a range of texts, including great works of literature and current affairs articles. Our areas of focus include:

  • Building extensive vocabulary
  • Refining grammatical fluency
  • Analyzing complex literature and current affairs articles
  • Developing strong essay writing skills

STEM Curriculum

Our STEM curriculum offers mathematics and computer science classes, focusing on developing procedural fluency, conceptual understanding, and algorithmic thinking. Our classes include:

  • Mathematics classes (Pre-Algebra to AP Calculus)
  • Computer Science classes (AP Computer Science to software engineering using Python, Java, and Java)

SAT/ACT Preparation

We apply the same cognitive science principles to our SAT/ACT Prep program. We provide personalized and targeted instruction, preparing students one-on-one during the academic year for either SAT or ACT. We also offer an SAT Bootcamp.

College Admissions Essays

We understand the importance of college admissions essays in today's competitive college admissions landscape. We provide students with full essay assistance from brainstorming to content development and continuous editing until their essay shines.

Our Founders

Elaine Panwar, ELA, has an MA and is a UCLA alumnus. She has taught language arts to elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as adults, for over twenty years. She brings passion, dedication, and personalized attention to her students.

Ramesh Panwar, STEM, is an IIT-Kanpur and UCLA alumnus. He is the primary inventor on 75 patents and has a PhD in computer science. He co-developed the Gaussian Method with his wife Elaine when they homeschooled their son.

Blog

We also maintain a blog, where we share relevant articles, updates, and news on education, technology, and more. Check out our blog for the latest updates on The Gaussian School!
