Estancia Valley Solid Waste

Estancia Valley Solid Waste Authority (EVSWA) is a waste management company that provides solid waste services to residential property owners in the unincorporated areas of Torrance County. We are committed to protecting, preserving, and improving the environment and the quality of life in our community. Our mission is to provide our customers with waste collection, recycling, and disposal services that align with our values of customer service, public education, efficiency, integrity, fiscal prudence, community innovation, resourcefulness, and partnerships.

EVSWA operates neighborhood collection stations for garbage and bulky item disposal and recycling drop-off. We haul waste and recyclables to the Estancia Valley Regional Landfill (EVRL) and bill county customers quarterly. We are proud to have been recognized for our safety program at the 2021 New Mexico Recycling Coalition Annual Conference and to have one of our team members recognized as the Recycler of the Year 2020.

At EVSWA, we are committed to reducing the amount of material that ends up in the landfill. We focus on reduction, re-use, and recycling to create new material. We have a recycling program that includes cardboard, batteries (except lithium), metal, aluminum, tin, light bulbs, and used motor oil. We also accept used antifreeze and have a "Swap Shop" at our northern collection station where customers can take what they like for free, with a limit of two items per customer per week.

Our Services

At EVSWA, we offer a range of services to our customers, including:

1. Neighborhood collection stations: We operate neighborhood collection stations for garbage and bulky item disposal and recycling drop-off. Our collection stations are available to you throughout the year.

2. Landfill services: We haul waste and recyclables to the Estancia Valley Regional Landfill (EVRL).

3. Recycling program: We have a recycling program that includes cardboard, batteries (except lithium), metal, aluminum, tin, light bulbs, and used motor oil. We also accept used antifreeze.

4. Roll-off rentals: We offer roll-off rentals for residential and commercial customers.

5. Quarterly billing: We bill county customers quarterly for our services.

We are proud to serve the residents of Torrance County and to provide them with waste collection, recycling, and disposal services that protect, preserve, and improve our environment and the quality of life in our community. We are also proud to partner with local organizations, such as the VFW and the American Legion, to properly dispose of American flags.
