Founder and Pastry Chef Christina Kim Mathis is a Seattle native with a discerning palate and a deep love for all things sweet. Her culinary journey began with a degree in ski racing, which later led her to pursue her true calling: pastry arts. After honing her skills at prestigious institutions in New York City and beyond, she founded Blue Box Bakery as a side project, inspired by colorful Christmas boxes filled with homemade caramels.
