The Village Bakeries began in 2001 in Flat Rock, North Carolina. With a passion for handcrafted food and a focus on local ingredients, we've grown into two beloved bakeries offering delicious baked goods, wood-fired pizzas, and more.

Our Story

From humble beginnings as a small brick oven bakery, The Flat Rock Village Bakery has blossomed into a culinary destination. David Workman joined the team in 2005 and eventually became the sole owner, carrying on the tradition of quality and craftsmanship. In 2011, we expanded our reach with the opening of the Fletcher Village Bakery.
