At Parker-Binns Vineyard, we are a multi-generation family owned and operated vineyard and winery nestled on a 40-acre estate in the beautiful Tryon foothills. Our story is one of passion, dedication, and a shared love for the art of winemaking. Our journey began over 25 years ago, and we have been growing and producing award-winning wines ever since.

Our Story

Our journey began in the food and beverage industry on the Jersey Shore, where we spent 25 years learning and growing. After years of hard work, we decided to take a leap of faith and move to South Florida, where we purchased raw land, north of the Everglades, just east of the Great Cypress Swamp. We spent months clearing the land and established a tree farm and plant nursery, which became a successful business. However, after 20 years, the government approached us to acquire the land for a project to restore and save the Everglades. It was the perfect opportunity to sell and retire.

However, retirement wasn't as fulfilling as we thought. We were bored and needed a new challenge. With our background in the food and beverage industry, we decided to join the emerging East Coast wine industry. We searched up and down the region and finally found what we felt was the perfect parcel, 10 acres in the Tryon Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Polk County, North Carolina had a rich history of growing and selling grapes in the late 1800's, and with over 20 vineyards and 3 wineries in the area, we knew this was the place to begin.

We cleared the trees and thickets, prepared the soil, and planted over 4000 grape vines. Although we were familiar with this process, we made an outstanding discovery - we were 31 years older and yet another adventure had begun. The journey continues, and we're excited to see what the future holds for Parker-Binns Vineyard.
