Our Story

Four Monkeys Coffee's journey is a testament to the power of passion and the pursuit of exceptional coffee. It all began about seven years ago in Baltimore, where our founder, driven by a desire for a truly remarkable cup, found himself roasting on his rooftop. What started as a personal experiment quickly evolved into an obsession, leading him to eventually relocate to Kutztown and share his love of coffee with his community.

He embarked on this new chapter alongside his future wife, pouring their hearts and dedication into crafting the perfect brew. They built their own five-pound roaster, christening their venture "Four Monkeys" while roasting for friends and family, building a name based on unwavering quality and a touch of whimsy. Their combined love of coffee, nurtured over years of experience, propelled them to officially launch Four Monkeys Coffee in 2017.

Kutztown embraced their small family-owned business, supporting their evolution from farmers markets and festivals to wholesale partnerships with farm stands, general stores, cafes, and specialty shops across Berks County and the Greater Lehigh Valley. Four Monkeys Coffee's growth is a direct reflection of the community's encouragement and the company's unwavering commitment to excellence.
