At R. Laing Manufacturing, we take pride in being a small, minority-owned company that specializes in precision machined parts, supporting both aerospace, golf, and other commercial businesses. Our journey began in 1985 when our founder, Roy Laing Flores, decided to open his own machine shop after years of experience as a machinist. With a rich history of more than three decades, we have established a strong reputation in the industry, built on our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

Our Story

Roy's passion for machining started as a student trainee at Laughlin AFB in Del Rio, TX. He was later awarded a scholarship that enabled him to continue his education at St. Phillips College in San Antonio. After gaining extensive experience working at machine shops in San Antonio and Houston, Roy decided to start his own business. He began manufacturing for the Department of Defense at Kelly AFB, machining various aircraft parts and ground equipment. As his work was recognized, he started manufacturing for other related aerospace companies, including General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin.

Today

Today, we continue to support the aerospace industry, commercial industries, and provide certified welding services with a high degree of dimensional precision. We have also diversified our services to include golf equipment, designing and manufacturing golf loft & lie calibration gauges that support club makers, golf professionals, hobbyists, and members of the PGA. Our affiliate website, MR3 Golf Designs, sells and supports the golf industry worldwide.
