Center For Academic & Psychological Services

The Center for Academic and Psychological Services (CAPS) is a multi-disciplinary team of professionals who collaborate to provide comprehensive diagnostic, intervention, and treatment programs for children, adolescents, and adults who struggle with attentional, learning, emotional/behavioral, and relationship difficulties. Our team of experts, led by Dr. Susan Costin, a licensed Clinical Psychologist, and Dr. Leng Bang, a Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist, specialize in the treatment of a wide variety of presenting problems with biological, psychological, and/or social components.

Our Mission

Our mission statement is to promote evidence-based approaches to mental health and wellness across the life-span through the development and enhancement of behavioral, emotional, relational, and educational self-regulation. We strive to provide a comprehensive and compassionate approach to addressing the complex needs of our clients, working closely with individuals, families, and communities to promote optimal functioning and well-being.

Our Services

At CAPS, we offer a broad range of services, including Psychiatric Services, Psychological Services, Educational Services, and Cogmed Working Memory Training. Our Psychiatric Services include medication evaluation and management, individual, family, and group therapy, and psychoeducational evaluation. Our Psychological Services include developmental and psychological evaluation, cognitive skills training, and executive functioning skills training. Our Educational Services focus on educational consultation, educational planning, and educational advocacy.

Meet Our Team

Our team of experts is dedicated to providing exceptional care and services to our clients. Dr. Susan Costin, our founder, is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience in evaluating and treating children, adolescents, and adults who struggle with attentional/organizational, learning/processing differences, and behavioral, emotional and relationship and self-regulation difficulties. Dr. Leng Bang, our Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist, has a strong background in diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health concerns, including ADHD, learning disorders, autism, developmental disorders, depression, anxiety, and relationship problems. Our team also includes Toby Meusburger, a Licensed Professional Counselor, who specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy and executive functioning skills training.
