Our History

Metz Glass is a family-owned and operated business with a rich history dating back to 1927 in Augsburg, Germany. Kreszentia Metz, a pioneer in the glass industry, was the first woman to earn a Meisterbetrieb (Master's Degree) in Glass Work. Kreszentia's son, Alois Metz, continued her legacy, eventually immigrating to Fayetteville, North Carolina in 1959. He reopened Metz Auto Glass in 1961, establishing a foundation for the company's enduring success. Under the leadership of Alois W. Metz, Jr. (Louis), who took over the helm in 1989, Metz Glass has continued to thrive, serving generations of customers with unparalleled quality and expertise.
