Our Physicians
Dr. Jeffrey Deitz brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our practice. A graduate of both the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Maryland School of Medicine, his training includes residencies at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia Psychoanalytic Institute. board-certified in Psychiatry and Psychoanalysis, Dr. Deitz has a deep understanding of the complexities of the human mind and specializes in treating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). He firmly believes in integrating neurobiological and psychodynamic approaches to ensure personalized and effective treatment plans for his patients. Throughout his career, Dr. Deitz has actively contributed to the field of psychiatry through publications in reputable journals and lectures at national conferences.
Dr. JoAnn Smith, a graduate of Boston University and the State University of NY Upstate Medical College, brings a unique perspective to our practice. Her extensive experience in treating stress, anxiety, and depression is rooted in a holistic approach that considers each patient's individual needs and circumstances. Dr. Smith is passionate about empowering women throughout their life cycle and utilizes a range of therapeutic modalities, including medication, interpersonal psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy, and family therapy, tailored to her patients' specific situations.
