By collaborating closely with clients, we ensure each home reflects their lifestyle while incorporating sustainable elements like energy-efficient systems and locally sourced materials. Our work has been recognized through multiple regional architectural awards.
Sustainable Design
Our sustainable design approach integrates eco-friendly materials, solar energy systems, and passive heating/cooling strategies to minimize environmental impact. Projects often feature green roofs, reclaimed wood finishes, and energy-efficient mechanical systems. We prioritize LEED-certified practices and work with engineers to optimize resource efficiency. This commitment to sustainability has earned recognition in both residential and commercial projects across New York.
Historic Renovations
We preserve historical integrity while modernizing structures for contemporary use. Our team specializes in restoring original architectural elements like timber beams and stained glass while adding modern amenities. Recent projects include renovating 1910 Arts & Crafts bungalows and Victorian cottages, ensuring compliance with preservation guidelines while improving functionality and energy efficiency through updated systems and materials.
Boathouse Design
Our boathouse designs combine functional marine requirements with architectural elegance. We create spaces that accommodate boat storage while offering living areas with panoramic water views. Projects often feature steel and glass elements, cantilevered decks, and durable materials suited to waterfront environments. Recent work includes connecting boathouses to main residences via custom-designed bridges and walkways.
Affordable Housing
We develop cost-effective housing solutions that maintain architectural integrity and sustainability. Our approach includes modular construction techniques and energy-efficient systems to reduce long-term costs. A recent Navajo Nation project reimagined traditional hogans using straw bale walls and timber framing, demonstrating how cultural heritage can inform modern affordable housing strategies.
