At Auburn Electrical Construction Company, Inc. (AECCI), we are dedicated professionals providing excellence in the electrical field since 1962. Our History

AECCI was originally formed in 1962 by Don Lanier as Auburn Electric, Inc. We started out doing primarily residential work. As time went on, we moved from residential work to commercial and industrial work and phased out our residential business. By the mid-1970's, we were dominating this area as the largest open-shop electrical contractor around. We continued to grow, and by the mid-1980's we were doing approximately $15 million volume per year. As the early 1990's came, Don Lanier decided retirement was in his future, so Greg Lanier, his son, started running the company. In 1994, Auburn Electrical Construction Company, Inc. was formed and Auburn Electric, Inc. was shut down.

Our Services

AECCI specializes in all forms of commercial and industrial electrical work, including manufacturing plants, treatment plants, healthcare facilities, schools, sports venues, office buildings, retail stores, and outside electrical distribution. In addition to standard electrical work, our people are competent in installing theatrical lighting systems, arena lighting, fire alarm systems, nurse call/code blue/doctors paging systems, sound systems, lightning protection systems, & CCTV/security systems.

Our Work

We have had the pleasure of working on numerous projects over the years, including the Brown Kopel Engineering Student Achievement Center at Auburn University, the Jay and Susie Gouge Performing Arts Center, the EAMC E.L. Spencer, Jr. & Ruth Priester Spencer Cancer Center, the Jackson Imaging Center, the Auburn University Medical Clinic, the Transportation Technology Center, Phase 1, the Office of Information Technology, and the Small Animal Teaching Hospital.

Our Locations

AECCI is currently licensed in five southeastern states, including Alabama and Mississippi. We have the capability, given sufficient travel time, to acquire licensing for other states, should the need arise.

Our Team

AECCI's corporate officers include Donald G. Lanier as CEO, Steve Pruitt as President, Robert Henderson as Vice President/Project Manager, and Maryann Jackson as Secretary/Treasurer. Project managers for AECCI include Robbie Henderson, Wade Miller, Tyrone McKissic, and Jason Moon. Estimating is done by Steve Pruitt and Bobby Pruitt. In 2014, we opened our Service Department, led by Wade Winslett. Our warehouse operations are run by Kenny Winslett and Brandon Goodson. Together, this management team has over 150 years of experience in the construction industry.
