Who We Are

IMPOWER is a leading non-profit mental health, substance misuse, and child well-being organization dedicated to empowering the lives of those in need. Our mission is to change lives by protecting, counseling, teaching, and inspiring individuals and families to reach their full potential. For over 25 years, IMPOWER has been serving thousands of individuals and families annually in the home, school, and community-based settings.

Our History

Founded in 1994, IMPOWER has grown from a small organization to a respected and trusted partner in the community. We have served over 9,000 unique individuals and families annually, providing a continuum of services that aim to help individuals and families achieve the skills and tools needed to lead safe, healthy, meaningful, and productive lives.

Our Philosophy

At IMPOWER, we believe that every individual has inherent worth and potential. We recognize the right of self-determination and the interdependence of all aspects of an individual's life. We are committed to providing effective services of the highest quality and working collaboratively with community partners to achieve individual and community goals. We also acknowledge the importance of relationships in shaping behavior and character, and we strive to continually meet individual and community needs.

IMPOWER offers a range of services designed to support mental health, substance misuse, and child well-being. Our services include:

  • Telehealth services
  • Alpha prevention program
  • Juvenile drug court
  • The Village, our transitional housing program
  • Outpatient therapy

Volunteer Opportunities

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve our community, and we are always looking for individuals and groups to join us in our mission. Whether you are interested in on-going, seasonal volunteer involvement or just a one-time project, there is something for everyone at IMPOWER. From special event volunteering to facility upkeep, we have a range of opportunities available.

IMPOWER's Impact

In FY 2020-21, our volunteers contributed 502 hours of service, which is equivalent to a value of $14,056. We are grateful for the dedication and hard work of our volunteers, who make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.
