At CALAB Inc., we are a team of dedicated, friendly, and caring individuals who share a common goal of providing exceptional services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to nurture and teach these individuals in an environment that allows them to make choices, grow in capabilities, and learn to their fullest potential. We believe that caring for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities begins with establishing a foundation based on passion as well as comprehension.

Our Services

We are a statewide agency with residential and community services offered in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, Lubbock, Arlington, and San Antonio areas. Our services include:

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is based on the understanding that every individual is uniquely different and should be supported according to individual preferences and needs.

Our History

CALAB was founded in 1993 by Carol A. Bell, who began providing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in 1984. Today, CALAB provides residential and community services to over 400 individuals, day activity services to over 200 individuals, and employs over 500 dedicated team members.
