Welcome to Sara Cote Photography! I am Sara, the photographer and owner of this business. My passion for photography started at a very young age, even before digital cameras became popular. I was always fascinated by the way a single photograph could capture a moment, a memory, or a story. This fascination led me to pursue a career in photography, and I am proud to say that I have been capturing moments and memories for clients for over a decade now.

I was born and raised in Elkhart Lake, and I graduated in 2005. I attended a four-year school, but I quickly realized that it was not the right fit for me. I wanted a more hands-on approach to learning photography, so I enrolled in a trade school called Hallmark Institute of Photography in Massachusetts. It was a tough program, but it was worth it. I graduated in 2009 with 1400 hours of classroom experience, and my work was featured on the school's website several times. I also received recognition in the Photo Forum's Best of College Photography contest in 2009 and 2012.

After graduation, I moved to Vermont, where I met my husband, Tim. We lived there for seven years and had two beautiful children, Samantha and Hunter. In 2015, we decided to move back to Elkhart Lake, where I opened my office in November 2017. I specialize in family, couples, wedding portraiture, and business headshots. I also enjoy capturing fine art landscapes and motorsports images with my husband.
