In 2001, Rita Brown and Janice Casey carried on the legacy, renaming the establishment Martha's Vineyard Gourmet Cafe & Bakery. They maintained the tradition of overnight baking, creating mouthwatering treats for early risers and late-night cravings.
A New Chapter: Back Door Donuts Emerges
After 17 dedicated years, Rita and Jan passed the torch to new owners in 2018. The beloved recipes and talented baking team remained intact, ensuring continuity in taste and quality. Today, Back Door Donuts proudly serves the Oak Bluffs community and has expanded to bustling Boston, bringing joy to customers across the state.
