Adams County Food Bank

Adams County Food Bank has been dedicated to alleviating hunger and its associated challenges in Adams County for over a decade. Our mission focuses on providing immediate food relief while addressing systemic issues like chronic undernutrition, heart disease, and obesity through comprehensive community programs. By partnering with organizations such as Food Bank of the Rockies and We Don't Waste, we distribute over 8 million pounds of food annually, including fresh produce, whole grains, and dairy products, to families, seniors, and children across 34 zip codes. Our team implements a structured approach to food distribution, offering weekly and monthly supplies to ensure consistent access to nutritious meals. We also operate specialized programs like USDA food boxes for seniors, emergency food assistance for crisis situations, and perishable food redistribution to smaller local food banks.

Beyond food access, we address root causes of food insecurity by providing job readiness training in fields like warehouse management and office administration through partnerships with Colorado Workfare and local schools. Our commitment to transparency and community collaboration has enabled us to serve over 35,000 households annually while maintaining rigorous standards of operational accountability. We measure success through tangible outcomes like the 28,950 children and 24,100 seniors supported through family food distributions. Our approach combines immediate relief with long-term solutions to create sustainable food security for all county residents.
