Our History
Our story began in 1969 when Roger W. Poyner opened his first office in Monterey, California. Recognizing the benefits of living trusts, Roger became an early advocate for their use in efficient wealth transfer. His daughter, Jessica J. Poyner, joined the practice in 1999 and became a certified specialist in trust, estate, and probate law. After Roger's retirement, the Poyner Law Firm was established, and Jessica continues to carry on the tradition of providing excellent family-focused estate planning.
