Welcome to Three Forks Bakery & Brewing Co, a friendly, small-town restaurant where visitors and locals come for delicious, homemade food made from the highest quality, local, and organic ingredients. Our well-balanced and tasty beer is brewed right here. We are passionate about using fresh, organic, and local ingredients, and we strive to be as close to zero waste as possible. Our coffee grounds, food waste, and spent beer grain are all used by local farmers to feed their animals. We aim to take care of the place we call home by being light on the land, keeping money in our local economy, and treating our customers with care and respect. We love Nevada County, and Three Forks Bakery & Brewing Co reflects that love.

Our Mission

At Three Forks, our mission is to brew delicious, well-balanced beers. We love hoppy West Coast Ales, we love German Lagers, we love rich Stouts and Porters - big beers, light beers, and everything in between. We believe in balance, with a solid malt backbone for our hoppy beers and enough hop bitterness to compliment any perceived sweetness. We source our base malt and specialty malts from Rahr Malting and Briess Malting in North America, as well as showcasing some of the finest malts in the world. Our hops come primarily from the Yakima Valley in Washington state. Our brewer, Dave Cowie, started brewing at home in 1991 and has refined his process, equipment, and recipes over the years.

The Brewery

We brew on a 7 bbl brewhouse from Premier Stainless Systems. Our brewery is made up of an insulated mash tun and boil kettle, allowing us to produce a variety of beers. We are proud of our brewery and the delicious beers it produces. We invite you to visit us and taste the fruits of our labor.
