At our practice, we offer a comprehensive range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of children, adolescents, and adults. Our approach is centered around providing personalized care and addressing a variety of issues including emotional, behavioral, and relationship difficulties. Dr. Carolyn Nguyen, a double board-certified Adult and Child Psychiatrist, leads our team with her extensive training and experience in both adult and child psychiatry. She specializes in diagnostic evaluations, consultations, medication treatment, and various forms of therapy including dynamic psychotherapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Dr. Nguyen's philosophy emphasizes an integrative biopsychosocial approach, striving to minimize medications when possible while also being comfortable using them effectively when necessary. Her interests include ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Mood and Psychotic Disorders, as well as Advocacy and Cross-Cultural Psychiatry. She particularly enjoys dynamic psychotherapy with adolescents and adults.

Services Offered

Our services include initial evaluations and consultations, follow-up sessions, and medication management. For children, adolescents, and adults, we offer diagnostic evaluations and consultations, whether for medications, therapy, or both. The initial evaluation process may take up to three sessions depending on complexity. Follow-up sessions are available for therapy and medication management. We also provide specialized therapies such as parent training and cognitive behavioral therapy. Dr. Nguyen's goal is to provide a comprehensive and personalized approach to each individual and family, ensuring that each receives the best possible care.

Payment and Insurance

Payment is due at the time of treatment, and we accept cash, check, or credit cards. Dr. Nguyen does not accept Medi-Cal or Medicare and is not on any insurance panels. However, she can provide a "superbill" statement that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement of a portion of your paid fee. This allows for flexibility in managing your care without the constraints of insurance company demands.
