Services
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Our Cognitive Behavioral Therapy program helps children and teens manage anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues through skill-building and cognitive restructuring. We teach coping strategies for identifying and modifying negative thought patterns while incorporating parent involvement to reinforce skills at home. Treatment includes exposure hierarchies for anxiety disorders and behavioral activation techniques for depression, with sessions tailored to the child's developmental level and specific needs.
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy
PCIT is an evidence-based treatment for children aged 2-7 with behavioral challenges. Our therapists coach parents through two phases: Child-Directed Interaction to strengthen attachment, followed by Parent-Directed Interaction to establish consistent discipline strategies. Sessions use live coaching through a one-way mirror or telehealth platform, with progress measured through structured observations to determine readiness to advance through treatment phases.
Trauma-Focused Therapy
Our trauma specialists provide Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for children who have experienced abuse, neglect, or other traumatic events. The program includes psychoeducation about trauma responses, safety planning, emotion regulation skills, and gradual processing of traumatic memories. Caregivers participate in parallel sessions to learn supportive techniques while family sessions help rebuild trust and communication through structured therapeutic activities.
Selective Mutism Treatment
Our PCIT adaptation for Selective Mutism combines Child-Directed and Verbal-Directed Interaction to increase speaking comfort across settings. Therapists coach parents to use positive reinforcement and gradual exposure techniques while simulating classroom environments during sessions. Treatment may include school consultations and intensive programs like our MMK-SRQ camp, which provides immersive speaking opportunities in structured social scenarios with high staff-to-child ratios.
OCD and Anxiety Camp
Mighty Minds is an intensive exposure-based camp for children with OCD and anxiety disorders. The program uses Exposure and Response Prevention in both imaginal and real-world settings, with parent education sessions to reinforce treatment gains. Activities include group exposures, coping skill workshops, and family collaboration sessions, all delivered by our specialized team of OCD treatment experts in a supportive therapeutic environment.
